Property Taxes are Increasing Faster than Household Incomes
Thousands of Williamson County residents opened their mail this week to find their home's appraisal value had sharply increased. Across Texas, city and county property tax levies have increased at a much faster rate than the median household income. For many, the number this year was a drastic increase over 2015 - approximately 9% higher property taxes.
